Discovering Scotland: Our 10-Day Road Trip in August 2023

In August 2023, we embarked on an unforgettable 10-day road trip through Scotland, starting in the historic city of Edinburgh. We explored the iconic Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, and the enchanting Holyrood Palace, soaking in the rich history and vibrant culture of Scotland's capital.

Leaving Edinburgh, we headed north to the stunning Cairngorms National Park, where we enjoyed breathtaking landscapes and outdoor adventures. Our journey continued to Inverness, the gateway to the Scottish Highlands, where we explored the charming city and the nearby Loch Ness, hoping for a glimpse of the legendary monster.

Next, we traveled to Fort Augustus, a picturesque village at the southern tip of Loch Ness, and then to the magical Isle of Skye. On Skye, we marveled at the rugged beauty of the Old Man of Storr and the dramatic landscapes that define this enchanting island.

Heading south, we visited Fort William and the spectacular Glencoe valley, known for its scenic beauty and tragic history. We then made our way to the coastal town of Oban, enjoying its seafood and coastal charm.

Continuing our journey, we explored the serene beauty of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, before concluding our road trip in the vibrant city of Glasgow. Here, we explored its rich industrial heritage, vibrant cultural scene, and architectural marvels such as the Glasgow Cathedral and the Riverside Museum.

This 10-day adventure through Scotland was a perfect blend of history, culture, and natural beauty, offering unforgettable experiences at every turn. From the historic streets of Edinburgh to the rugged landscapes of the Isle of Skye, and the vibrant city life of Glasgow, Scotland captivated us with its rich heritage and stunning scenery.
